Configuration
The unique modular design does not require any field wiring of guns, detonators, or igniters. It can be fully verified on surface before making a trip in the well.
Evolutions in completions technology often require more guns to be deployed on each stage. Velocity is prepared more easily, and in less time, than traditional guns, while reducing the overall weight and makeup length.
Velocity guns are fully addressable, and communication problems can be identified well before a gun is fired. Guns can be digitally checked on surface and at any time during the descent. With traditional systems, the status of each gun is not known until a firing attempt is made. If it fails to fire, the only option is to pull out of the well, leading to non-productive time.

Velocity’s setup eliminates errors associated with field wiring and reduces potential leak paths.
Velocity guns do not rely on legacy pressure-actuated switches, which are a leading causal factor for wireline NPT. Velocity’s digital switches allow a misfired gun to be skipped so operations are uninterrupted.
Detonators & Ignitors
The Velocity detonator and igniter cartridges have been tested by an independent third-party laboratory and are certified RF safe and voltage safe up to 500V.
